It has been a busy weekend for the boys in Trennick House. Dom and Rob embarked on a training expedition in preparation for their upcoming involvement in the Ten Tors Challenge. This involved walking 17 miles from Portreath to Polly Joke with an overnight camp. Both returned with sore feet but a great sense of achievement.
On Saturday Josh and Alfie both represented the School in hockey matches against Mount Kelly, the senior boys winning 5-1 and the Under 16s narrowly missing out against a strong team.
Henry set off on Saturday for an overnight stay in Salisbury as he took part in the Cambridge Union Debating Competition. The team took part in 3 rounds of competition, each time being given little notice of the topics that they would debate and finished a very respectable 3rd, 2nd and 3rd. Henry enjoyed the opportunity to practise his public speaking skills and thanked Ms Selvey for taking the team up.
This week’s activity was a trip to the cinema, with the boys choosing from a selection of films, popcorn consumption was at an all time high but everyone left enough room for a meal out at the Lounge restaurant, with all boys eating heartily. Sunday night finished with a chance to prepare for the week ahead.
