On Friday of this week the school gathered for the Easter term’s colours assembly. It was fantastic to see so many Trennick boys receive colours for the commitment and performance in the various sports and other extra-curricular activities. It was also great to see so many of the Lower Sixth boys become school prefects – there was a very proud Housemaster in the audience! Awards were given to the following boys:
Ayobami – Senior Half-Colours for football and the Sports Leadership Award
Alfie – Prefect for PE
Cyrus – Senior Colours for badminton and the Sports Leadership Award
Sammy – Prefect for Business Studies
Chris – Prefect for the Library
Ethan – Senior Colours for football
Ollie – Prefect for Physics
Mars – Prefect for Maths
Kobe – Senior Colours for badminton
Callum – Prefect for History
On Saturday the boys travelled to Falmouth and enjoyed the award-winning fish and chips from Harbour Lights despite the cold weather. In the late afternoon Ollie, Ethan and Mr. Copeland enjoyed watching the Six Nations rugby match between Ireland and England. Ethan was happy to see Ireland win and Ollie was happy to win a pizza in the sweepstake for top points scorer.
On Saturday evening Mexican fajitas was on the menu and the boys enjoyed cooking chicken, onions and peppers before putting it into wraps with salsa and guacamole. Mr. Copeland forgot to order chillies and spices which left some boys disappointed but others relieved! It was another evening spent cooking in the kitchen with a great atmosphere.
Sunday was a relaxed day in the boarding house with many boys catching up on work, visiting Truro, going to the gym, and enjoying the playstation, Xbox and table tennis in house.
