Senior Boy’s Boarding Blog: 18 June

Last week was Lower Sixth exams week and hence a quiet one.

Most of the boys were studying hard during their spare hours – the atmosphere in the library during the evening prep period was calm and quiet. Exam results will be published in the end of term reports and will provide useful and accurate predictions for next year. Next week the Lower Sixth will spend a day being introduced to the University application process so it may be worth beginning discussions about their future plans.

I was very pleased to announce that Oliver will be next year’s Head of House. Justas will be the Deputy Head of House, and Mars and Callum will be prefects. Congratulations too must go to Mars and Callum who have been appointed Senior Prefects in school.

Oliver and Callum went to Slovenia on Saturday morning for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme expedition. We look forward to hearing their news when hey return at the end of this week.

The remaining Lower Sixth boys headed to Holywell Bay Golf Club on Saturday to play a round on the pitch and putt course. The weather was fine and the views over the sand dunes onto the beach were beautiful. Mr. Matt Rickets won the day with a score of six under. Justas was leading boarder with twelve over, and Jay came in third with twenty over.
