This week there was some good news concerning sports performances; Ries and Bosco played their first match for the men’s team of Truro Basketball Club, and Simon represented the men’s team of Truro Hockey Club. It is great to see these boys take advantage of the many sports opportunities on offer and make best use of the several different local clubs that use the school’s sports facilities in the evenings.
It was a wet and windy weekend at Truro School and the Trennick boys didn’t wander far! It was great to watch Simon represent Truro Hockey Club, putting in a good performance against a tough Duchy team. Callum represented Falnouth Rugby Club on Saturday in far from ideal conditions. Roman and Jack both fenced well in London where they took part in a big tournament.
Our weekend activity was a meal out at a local pizza restaurant along with the senior girl boarders. I was very proud to see all of our boarders in one place, socialising and being the polite young men that they are becoming. The food was very much enjoyed and there was much laughter throughout.
Sunday was a quiet day – a chance to catch up with laundry and homework. Many of the boys took the chance to learn a new board game in the evening and I will look to continue this trend at the weekends.
It has been a busy and fulfilling term – best wishes to all the Trennick boys and their families for the October half-term holiday.
