Rugby Summary – Week Beginning: Monday 16 September 2013

The under 12’s had a good win against Kelly at the weekend by a score of 36–7, which augurs well for the coming season.


The under 13’s have had a busy start to their season, defeating St Ives 60–0 in the County Cup, Newquay Tretherras were defeated 41–0 in the new National Cup, Penrice were beaten 52–12 and they finished off with a good win against a spirited Kelly side 25–10.


The under 14’s had a good result against St Ives in their County Cup, winning 53–0 and followed that up with an excellent win against a decent Bryanston side by 24–14. The B side played a really spirited match against a strong Penrice A side but went down by 40 points.


1st XV
The 1st XV had a resounding win against Redruth RFC and the 2nd XV game ended in some controversy as the referee told them they had won by 1 point, only to discover he had added the scores up wrong and they had in fact lost 31–30!


The 1st XV followed this up with a decent 15–0 victory against a Kelly College side who defended superbly.


This Wednesday 25 sees the school take on Bodmin School in the junior ranks whilst the 1st XV entertain the Truro College Academy side at home.
