Tuesday 10 December
On Tuesday our U13s played Redruth School in the final of the county cup at Redruth RFC. It took Truro a while to impose themselves on the opposition, but relentless pressure paid off as the side ultimately cruised to a comfortable 52-7 victory. This is Mr Hunt’s tenth cup final success in the last eleven years as U13 coach and Mr Hooper’s seventh consecutive title.
The U15 side made it two county cup final victories for the school on the same day as they defeated a spirited Penair team 21-0 at Truro RFC. After a close Nat West Cup encounter with the same opponents a few weeks ago, the side played superbly in both attack and defence to win the title of county champions for the fourth successive year. The U15 Nat West U18 National Cup match will now be played on 15 January. Truro will be away to Millfield School in the last 32 of the competition.

On Wednesday Truro School were represented in their third county cup final as the U14s played Reduth School at Redruth RFC. Taking a narrow 7-0 lead into the second half, the side played well after the interval to win 31-0. The side have performed strongly throughout the term and concluded with their third successive county cup title.

Tom Pascoe, Former Head Boy and 1st XV captain in 2010, achieved his ‘Blue’ as he played for Cambridge University in the Varsity Match against Oxford University at Twickenham Stadium. This was the school’s first ‘Blue’ since Andrew Peck in 1981. Unfortunately, Cambridge were defeated 33-15 by Oxford.
The 1st XV Nat West U18 National Cup match will now be played in January. Truro will be at home to Richard Huish College from Taunton in the last 32 of the competition.
