On Wednesday 17 September a number of matches were played, with perhaps the most notable achievement being the Under 14s outstanding 45:3 win at the Dorset powerhouse Bryanston School.
The other junior sides hosted Penrice Academy. The talented Under 12 side won 58:17, alongside the Under 15s (58:12) and the U16s (57:7). The Under 13s, playing a large squad of players suffered a narrow 17:19 defeat in a very competitive game.
On the same day our 2nd XV travelled to Helston College 1st XV in the Under 18 Cornwall League and recorded their second consecutive victory by 14:12 in a scrappy game dominated by the very strong wind.
On Saturday 20 September three matches were played against Mount Kelly (nee Kelly College) after the opposition had withdrawn from the Under 15 game. In the away fixtures, the weakened Under 12 and Under 13 sides won 50:0 and 31:0. A young 1st XV squad was selected to host Mount Kelly and ran out convincing winners by 52:0, with tries by James Rowe (3), Ed Jane (2), Cam Sayer, Johnny Wood and Matt Poole, who also kicked 6 conversions.
