On Tuesday 12 November, the children at Truro Prep were honoured with a visit from a very special bear.
Pudsey Bear, the face of the BBC’s long-running UK charity, took time out of his busy schedule to see how ‘spotty’ the pupils were, in the run up to today’s BBC Children in Need event in Falmouth.
Pupils raised money by donating £2 to wear spotty clothes instead of school uniform and purchased Pudsey keyrings. A fantastic total of £530 was raised on the day and will go towards helping millions of children around the country.
Today, all the children in Year Five and Year Six will be singing in a 200 pupil choir, led by Mrs Renshaw. They will be part of the local South West BBC Children in Need Pudsey Party, which is being held at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The BBC will be broadcasting live from the Museum.
