Prep Sports Day 2015

The heats were tight, the tunes and sound bites were immaculate and even the sun came out to play at this year’s sports day.
Most of the children had chosen to participate in all six possible events at Sports Day 2015. The values of excellence, respect, inspiration, determination and fairness were evident everywhere. It was brilliant to see children encouraging and supporting each other and celebrating their individual successes as part of the wider team within their houses. In particular, we are delighted with the effort and attitude of those children, who for various reasons, were unable to participate but took on a different role and assisted with the running of the different track and field events on the day.
The house colours helped us to see how the different houses were doing in different events – and thank you to all the parents who attended in the relevant colours of their son/ daughter’s house. It made for a convivial atmosphere and crucially involved everyone in this event.
Congratulations to all the children who competed in Sports Day 2015 – every child scored points for their house.
Many thanks to Paul Caddis for his brilliant photographs of Sports Day; a selection of these will also be available in the gallery area of the school website.
