Prep School Rugby Update – 1 December

Truro Prep School v Plymouth College and Stover School

Wednesday 29th November saw Truro Prep travel to play their final games of the season against Plymouth College and Stover School. In perfect conditions, with the sun on their backs, our boys produced some great running rugby. The first match against Stover was a close run affair with the Truro side producing their best team display of the season. With both sides defence being of the highest order it was from turnover ball that both tries came. First Stover and then Truro taking the opportunity to break though unorganised defences; the final whistle blowing after Truro had scored their equalising try.

With tired bodies, Truro faced the tough opposition of Plymouth College, a well-drilled and organised team. With both teams trying to play fast and expansive rugby, Plymouth showed the greater finesse in their execution and ultimately converted more opportunities into scores. At the final whistle, Plymouth had won by a good margin.

Following the game, the boys from both teams enjoyed a match tea and it was great to see our players integrating and enjoying the company of newly made friends. Thank you to all parents and supporters for your continued support throughout the season.
