Poltisco – Fencing, Face Masks and Ice Cream

This week saw girls from around the world join us at Poltisco House for the start of a new academic year at Truro School. They have settled in well and have quickly become good friends. In the first few days there was an induction programme run by the school to show the pupils around the school and local area. This included going to Trelissick Gardens where they watched the ‘Tall Ships’ set sail on their worldwide adventure. Wednesday was the first day of the autumn term where they met their form groups and teachers for the year.

This weekend the girls were taught how to fence by a GB Olympic coach. Nini enjoyed it so much she will now take it up as an extra-curricular activity!

On Sunday Poltisco relaxed with some face masks chosen by Emily, Rebecca and Sophia while watching a film. Finally, the girls explored Truro city centre where Nicolette, Chloe and Carissa had a Cornish ice cream. You can view a gallery of photos from the start of term here. Overall it has been a very successful and busy start to the new term.
