It has been a very busy start to the second half of the autumn term. The girls arrived back after a two week half term and settled back into boarding and enjoyed seeing their friends again. We welcome Erin and Niamh to boarding for a few weeks too which is great fun. This week on Wednesday Mrs Kenward took the girls to a local fireworks display at Truro Football Club and all the boarders from the different houses watched the spectacular fireworks. By the end of the week the girls looked forward to spending some time on the Wii console singing and dancing the night away. Saturday saw the Truro School open morning which was very successful. All the boarding girls helped in school during the morning: some gave tours of the school, Nicolette did a performance with the Music department and Emily showed her fantastic hockey ability on the pitch. When the open morning came to a close the girls all enjoyed a hearty lunch and a relaxing Saturday afternoon. On Remembrance Sunday we paid our respects in the Chapel to all those who have fought in wars across the world. The girls sang a lovely hymn and Rebecca and Zennor laid a poppy cross to pay their respects. We will remember them. Finally, on Sunday afternoon the girls got together to have a Bollywood lesson by a professional Bollywood dancer who had come in especially to teach the girls two routines. I hope they perform these to you when you next see them! Now for a traditional Sunday roast and getting ready for the week ahead.
