Poltisco Blog 3rd February 2019
As far as the weather in concerned we have had 4 seasons in one week. Since Monday we have had frost, rain, hail, sleet and snow. This morning was bathed in glorious sunshine and clear skies.
On Thursday afternoon it started snowing after it had been raining for most of the day, as you can see from the photo beside the school Chapel it was quite heavy. After 60 minutes it was several centimetres deep. The boys were hopeful that the school would close and they would have the opportunity for a snow day as they had last year. Sadly, it was not to be in Truro; however, it was quite heavy in many parts of Cornwall.
The boys enjoyed a relaxing Saturday with many opting to visit the cinema to watch ‘How to Train your Dragon – The Hidden World”. Some, just opted to go into town. During the evening I heard much hilarity and laughter coming from the common room as the boys were streaming some ‘You’ve been framed’ type video clips onto the big screen. This was of course followed by some pizza.
The Sunday outing was great. We joined forces with the girls from the junior house to go and take part in some paintball games. After the safety brief it was time for action. The teams were mixed, and a number of different games were played during our 2 hour session. This was a great afternoon out with all pupils having a great time.
