Year 6 have been studying photography and processing images using Photoshop, as part of their Prep Diploma. Pupils were taught photography techniques in small groups on the school grounds and later practised their skills on a coastal walk at Towanroath, near St Agnes.
Pupils learned how to operate a variety of cameras and explored how to use shutter speed and aperture to control exposure and depth of field. They also looked at compositional skills such as the rules of thirds; how to spot textures and lines in nature; creating interesting perspectives and points of view, and processing and enhancing images using Photoshop.
You can see a selection of their photos in our gallery.
