As part of their study of coasts, Year 6 spent a morning at Perranporth. They looked at the types of shops and other facilities (for the local market and tourist market) and the style of housing. They also looked at the rock formations and the beach, the sand dune features and local wildlife. They were lucky enough to see a light on-shore breeze lifting the sand in a mini sand storm and illustrating perfectly how this assists the formation of sand dunes.
