A quiet weekend in the junior boys’ house for a change! The usual round of prep and Sports Centre activities on Friday night, followed by town visits and trying to stay dry on Saturday. In fact, trying to stay dry all of the time! The table tennis table is waiting forlornly in the patio area all covered over – when will it ever see the light of day?
Saturday night’s ritual of DVDs and pizza went off well, and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly all nine pizzas get devoured!
Sunday was another dreary day and so the plan was ‘Ships and Castles’ in Falmouth, then a quick run around on Gyllyngvase Beach, yeah right! Once we saw the dark clouds and the torrential rain running down the roof of the pool the beach idea seemed to lose its fascination – strange that!
Waves were encountered, river rapids were floated on, and the flume was ridden several times; we were the last to leave at 5pm and it was home for a hearty supper and more prep to finish.
