The End of Exams
You could sense the feeling of freedom as the exams came to a close on Friday. The guys have done all they can and now they wait for the all-important results! Alex still has some on Monday, but otherwise it was all over.
For various reasons there was no Friday EAL session so Cyrus, Bosco and Kobe went out to the Zen noodle for a birthday celebration. The rest of the guys went to the SBASC or took the opportunity to kick back and relax.
A Visit to Royal Cornwall Show
Saturday came and we decided to go to The Royal Cornwall Show. It is a great show and we thought that going at 10.45am would see us miss the traffic… not a chance! We arrived at 12.45pm after a journey which normally takes 30 minutes. We joined up with the girls from Poltisco which was great and hit the show in stunning weather.
We were greeted with a welcoming smile from Mrs Grigg at the schools’ show stand.
The showground was packed so there was just enough time for a photo opportunity with The Headmaster!
We returned to a hearty supper from Kath, but as usual the boys were hungry again by 8pm, so the BBQ was fired up and burgers prepared. The girls from Poltisco came over and it was table-tennis, pool and table-football all round with plenty of music too. Even Mr Nick and his daughter Charlotte won at table-football – go Nicholas family!
Boarding on Sunday
After brunch on Sunday, the weather was so glorious we decided to tag along with the senior guys from Trennick and head off to Perranporth beach for some footie and some surfing; and what a day it was! It is good having The Watering Hole for drinks and food too!
After some instructions on the beach, the students soon headed out to catch some waves!
The remainder of Sunday was about preparation, enjoying the late weekend sun and looking forward to those results!
