Nine Lessons and Carols

Wednesday saw the School’s annual Nine Lessons and Carols service held in Truro Cathedral, the birthplace of this traditional service of scripture readings (telling the Christmas story) and music compiled by Bishop Edward White Benson in 1880.

As the school attended by the cathedral choristers, we enjoy a close partnership with the cathedral, and many hundreds of parents, staff, and pupils attended this traditional and reflective service, led by the School Chaplain, The Rev Aubin de Gruchy, and The Very Rev Roger Bush, Dean of Truro Cathedral. Lessons were read by pupils and staff, and the school’s Chamber Choir and the Prep School choir provided beautiful music.
