Netball Update – 15 December

Under 12 vs Sandroyd Won 8-5

The Under 12s played Sandroyd Under 13s whilst they were on tour on Sunday. It was a very closely contested game. The Under 12s worked hard against a very determined Sandroyd team and emerged winners.

SSP vs Truro High School

Under 12 Lost 4-8

9 students represented the school in the fixture against Truro High School.  At the end of the first half, the score was 5 – 3 to the High School. At half time, changes were made and the team were determined to think about creating space on court and using their eyes to see the best available player. Unfortunately, in the second half the opposition extended their lead, with the game finishing 8 – 4.

Under 13 Drew 10-10

Truro High started the strongest and capitalised on Truro Schools errors, leading until the final minutes of the games. Truro School played much better in the last 5 minutes and began to take hold of the game. They were in possession of the ball and actually scored just after the final whistle was blown. A draw was the fairest result.

Under 14 Won 20-6

This was a far better performance  than the previous week against Penryn. In preparation for the Regionals players were played out of their normal positions. It took time for them to settle but each girl worked hard to adapt which was a credit to them all. Truro School won the match 20 – 6

Under 15 Won 23-9

An excellent performance by the Under 15s, totally dominating the game and playing some superb netball. All players working tirelessly throughout.
