Netball Summary – Week Beginning Monday 18 November

U18 v Truro High School: Won 23-17

Playing in the SBASC on a very wet and windy afternoon, the first team got off to a good start, leading 9-5 at quarter time. The first half saw some good netball, with Truro School up 16-8 at half time. The second half was much closer with Truro making too many unforced errors. Nevertheless, a good win. Some super play by Katie.

U13 v Godolphin School, Salisbury – U13 National Netball Cup: Won 31-11

The U13’s travelled up to Salisbury for this National Cup game. After nearly four hours of travelling, the girl’s had some good match preparation and were eager to start the game. From the start Truro dominated against a very determined opposition. The girls played some controlled netball and all nine players took to the court. Mr Austin (driver, physio, and timer) and the two players off court supported the team well, and Lily was voted player of the match by the opposing girls. Emily received the opposing umpires vote.

All in all an excellent performance by all those concerned and now Truro are due to play St Swithun’s School in the last 16 in the country. The girls were true ambassadors for the school with exemplary behaviour on a very long day.
