Netball Summary – Week Beginning Monday 10 March

Vs. Plymouth College A

U12B Won 15:4

An excellent debut by Georgia. Connie and Mary both shot consistently well and Aerin dominated in defence. Player of the match: Rosie.

U13B Won 16:15

This was a very closely contested game throughout. Plymouth College winning by one goal at the end of the first three quarters. Truro dug deep and their determination allowed then to emerge winners in a super game. Player of the match was Abby.

U14 Won 29:11

The U14s took to the court in very different playing positions to normal; they supported each other well and coped extremely maturely. Truro were always in control and it was a great opportunity to see players in different roles. Savvy played a super quarter at WD and was voted player of the match by Plymouth.

U15B Won 11:7

A new look line up for the U15Bs and there were a few nerves on show as the players took to the court. Athena, centre, took control and linked the attack and defence well. Becky, GD, was strong and decisive in defence and supported play down the court well. Consistent shooting by Sophia T and Chloe saw Truro’s lead never in doubt. A very solid performance from all the squad players, well done.

U16B Won 21:3

Truro were in complete control of this game. The defence marked the shooters so tightly that inevitably nearly every ball was intercepted. Centre court players moved the ball up the court and the shooters took advantage of it. Changing the team around, Truro still had the upper hand.

U18B Lost 11:19

Truro paid a heavy price for too many unforced errors against a strong Plymouth College side and, despite some resolute defence and a strong third quarter, came up short in a tough game.
