Truro were slightly phased by the tall GA of Penrice at the start of the game. After half time the team defended more out on court making it harder for Penrice to feed their circle and enabling our defence to make interceptions. It was an evenly contested game with Truro coming out 10 –7 winners.
Truro School Under 13B vs Penrice Under 13B Won 6-1

Truro School Under 15 vs Penrice Under 15 Won 65-12
In a shortened, thirty minute, game, School kept up the blistering pace set from the off to average a goal roughly every thirty seconds by moving the ball beautifully. What is most exciting is that all four shooters used were on fine form and the girls were able to try a couple of new ideas out before next week’s County Tournament. Evelyn was nominated by the opposition as the Player of the Game.
Under 12 vs Shebbear Won 15-2
A fantastic team effort on Saturday 10th March, captained by Isha led to a convincing win, 15-2.
Each player focussed on one aspect of their own game; from holding a back space, defending the shot or being first to a rebound. Some excellent shooting from Emily and Daisy in the first quarter led to a 8-2 lead. The defensive effort of all players for the latter stages of the game was superb, with Shebbear unable to score any more goals. Player of the match, nominated by Shebbear was Libby.
Under 13 vs Shebbear Won 13-4

Under 14 vs Shebbear Won 20-13
In the first quarter Truro didn’t defend well on court which put additional pressure on the circle defence. After a team talk the girls took all the coaching points on board and were the then 8 – 5 up going into the 3rd quarter. The next combination of players took a while to gel and gave away passes rather than passing to the easier option. One goal down going into the final quarter and a change of players they certainly upped their game and came out 20 – 13 winners.
Under 15 vs Shebbear Won 48-6
An excellent game by the U15s. Truro played some superb netball against an athletic opposition. Team targets were set for each quarter, with each player working really hard to achieve them. Such as: no overheads, driving forwards for the ball, being ball side, stopping the drive down court, only straight line balls. Players were given the opportunity to demonstrate their versatility and adapted well. A great result.
Under 18 vs Shebbear Won 28 – 11
Player of the match – Amy
This was the U18s last netball match at Truro School. The girls were determined to finish with a win but more importantly, wanted to enjoy their last match. The whole squad pulled together, encouraged each other and displayed on court what great friendships they have made throughout their time at Truro school.
Under 13B Peninsula Netball Festival
9 girls travelled to Redruth to play in the B festival. It was a great opportunity for those who do not normally get to play in many matches, to get lots of court time. The festival was played in good spirits. Truro won their section comfortably, progressing to the semi final. Truro met Penryn and won 3-1. The final was a difficult game against a strong Truro High School team, our girls losing out 2-8. Well done to all those who played.
