Malvern – Camel Trail

As ever, it has been a busy first weekend back at Malvern. With the first few frantic days of term behind us, it was time to relax a little with the boys from Trennick coming down on Friday night for computer games and some Wii Zumba.

Saturday started with a leisurely brunch followed by a tour of the incredible new sports complex. Now that we all have our gym inductions completed, there won’t be any excuses for not being super fit by Christmas!!

Most of us went to support the support the girls’ 1st XI hockey in their first game of the season and see Clara make her debut at 15 years old, only five days after arriving from Germany. We were proud to see her play so well. We followed this by watching the 1st XV play the Old Boys in their annual “friendly” match, this gave some of the new girls a chance to see the mysteries of rugby for the first time!
Saturday night was party night at Malvern as the boys came down in force . A great way to get to know everyone and make new friends, although all of our food soon disappeared and the room was quite messy when they all left.

Sunday saw another late start and the first boarders’ outing of the year. This time, cycling on the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow along the beautiful Camel Estuary. The only faller being Nini but luckily neither her nor the bike were injured! Now we are all back and preparing for the first full week of term. A great start to life at Truro School, with no homesick or sad girls we are really happy to have such a fantastic group of young ladies living with us this year.
