GCSE Geology student Maddie Hardstaff was the highest scoring student in the UK in last summer’s GCSE Geology examination.
Geology subject officer Jonathan Owen at the WJEC examination board informed the School that Maddie was the best performing candidate in the country, with a score of193 out of 200 marks. Maddie was five marks clear of four other students who tied for the second highest this year, with a score of 188 out of 200. Two of these were also Truro School students; Callum Ross and Chloe White. Head of Department, Ian Kenyon said:
