Year 5 Rugby v Polwhele House School and Fulham Prep School

On Friday 17th March, Truro Prep went to Polwhele House School for a triangular fixture – with Polwhele and Fulham Prep Schools.

The first game saw Truro Prep win a convincing game 7-2, thanks to some great handling and fierce tackling. Try scorers were: William, Wilf G, Sam, Wilf B and Finn M.

The game that followed between Truro Prep and Fulham was reminiscent of the previous week’s clash between Ireland and Wales in the 6 nations. Abrasive tackling, slick hands and an outstanding team resolve to give everything they could led to a fantastic match.

Truro were drawing in the final few minutes of added time, when Fulham snuck over for a late victory, leaving the score 4-3 at full time.

Try scorers for the match were: Sam, Wilf G and Thomas. However, it was the overall team performance and style of rugby that was being played that was great to watch – and appreciated by the large crowd of spectating parents. Well done to all involved.
