Junior Girls’ Boarding Update – 14 June 2016

This weekend all the girls have been working very hard for their GCSE exams next week and the internal exams. We are so proud of them all!

As the girls were keen to utilise their time at the weekend to get the last bit of studying in we decided on going for a meal together at Pizza Express in Truro on Saturday evening. The outing saw Pentreve and Poltisco join up together for a fun and social event enjoyed around lots of tasty pizzas, pastas and salads. The girls managed to catch up with friends while Sasha and Helena, both choristers for the cathedral, talked to us about their concert that evening. The concert was a real successes and enjoyed by all who attended.

On Sunday Berit and Cherry decided to spend some of the morning in the gym and getting some fresh air. In the evening the girls had some down time to catch up on missed TV and read some books for leisure.

Rainbow Fun Run

Staff and students of the boarding community are also preparing themselves for the up and coming 5 Kilometer colour run at RAF St Mawgan. On the 26th of June we will be completing this fundraising activity for a very worthy cause. The boarding community at Truro School continues to raise money and support the Children’s Hospice South West and this term this is how we plan to do it!

The hospice gives very special care offering 24 hour, 365 day support and all the money raised will go straight to the hospice. We would be very grateful if you would support this cause in any way you can. Mrs Mulready of Pentreve has created a just giving web page where you can securely donate money should you wish.
