Mind, body, soul and a little bit of peperoni.
The weather did not dampen the boarder’s weekend. On Saturday morning the boys were invited to spend some time in Trennick which they really enjoyed. They were able to use all the common rooms in the senior house as well as the kitchen. Pool was also a popular choice as was the NBA 2017 on the PS4.
Anthony was in action playing football for the Under 15 team against West Cornwall. In a close game Truro narrowly lost 3-2.
During the afternoon the boys enjoyed some of the six nation’s rugby internationals and used the house computer room for homework.
After supper the boys settled down for an evening of Star Wars movies. There was the usual intermission when the boys enjoyed some pizza. Peperoni was the favourite choice.
Sunday started slowly with a lie in until roll call followed by a hearty brunch. The Sunday activity this week was a yoga class. The boys really enjoyed the session with some suggesting that they would be very keen to participate again.
Following the yoga the boys returned to the house to watch the rugby international between England and Italy.
At supper there was a traditional roast meal with either beef or chicken and all the trimmings.
Earlier in the week Cam was part of a school team who competed in the County debating competition. The team did very well and took first place. This now puts them through to the regional finals in March. Well done to all involved.
Congratulations to Roman who, in the weekend preceding half term competed in a fencing competition at Millfiled School and came 3rd. As a result of this he has now qualified for the fencing British Youth Championships. Well done.
