Junior Boys’ Boarding Blog: 31 March 2019

Poltisco Blog 31st March 2019

With the change to the clocks for British Summer time, Spring term is here. We have completed 2 out of the 3 terms. Where has the time gone?

The boys have had an enjoyable and relaxing time this weekend. After supper and prep on Friday evening some of the boys completed some much needed room tidying. It is surprising how much the boys accumulate in two terms.

On Saturday the boys joined forces with the senior boys from Trennick and enjoyed on outing to Penzance to watch the Cornish Pirates rugby team, they hosted London Irish. With some international players on show this was billed as a great game. It was; sadly not for the Pirates! We had a number of plays that took place right in front of us, so the boys could see the action up close. The home side was outclassed by a far better side. It was only recently that London Irish were playing Premiership rugby and with the quality of players on show and depth of talent on the bench, you can see why. Never the less the boys had a great afternoon in the sun. On Sunday the Poltisco boarders accepted an invite to spend some time in Trennick and get a feel for the place. It is traditional for those third year boys who are staying to move into Trennick for their GCSE studies for the next academic year.

They had a great time using the facilities that are on offer, including the kitchen (unfortunately) we do not have space in Poltisco to have one. The boys are already looking forward to the summer term as we have a number of new boys joining us.
