Teaching Assistant – Prep School

Term Time Only, Permanent

35 hours per week

£11,300 pa (0.7fte)

Start Date: 1 September 2019

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic Prep School. Our successful candidate must have an excellent track record of working with young children, motivating and encouraging them through stimulating and exciting activities.

Assistant Network Manager – Maternity Cover

37.5 hours per week (not term time only)

Fixed Term Contract until December 2019

Salary: £22,900 per annum

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Network Manager to join our IT Department whilst our current employee is on maternity leave. The position is a key role in the management of our Communication and AV systems here at Truro School and ensures that our students and staff receive the necessary high quality service that complements our outstanding teaching and learning.

Our desired candidate must have an understanding of the expectations of a highly successful independent school, and have excellent IT knowledge in network management, problem solving, trouble shooting and client support.  The successful candidate will be organized, reliable and have excellent communications skills in order to interact with multiple stakeholders and systems.

The role will involve working closely with the Network Manager and the Assistant Network Manager (Servers and Infrastructure) across both the Prep and Senior School sites.

In addition to our competitive rate of pay, other benefits include free lunches and membership of the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre.

Full Time Graduate Assistant – Sport

37.5 hours per week – term time only
Fixed Term Contract from September 2019 – July 2020
Salary: £10,000 per annum
Start Date: 2nd September, 2019

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Graduate who has a passion for sport to assist in our PE/Sport Department. The position would suit a Graduate who has recently, or is about to, graduate with a Sports Science or sports related degree or equivalent and is seeking experience in a school with the aim of entering the teaching profession. No formal teaching experience is required however, our desired candidate must have an understanding of the expectations of a highly successful independent school. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and a flexible team member.

The role will involve working closely with the Director of Sport and all the PE staff across the Prep and Senior School. We are particularly interested in applications from Graduates with playing or coaching experience in Rugby, Hockey, Football or Netball, but all sports will be considered. The Graduate Assistant would be expected to assist in co-curricular clubs both at lunchtime and after school. The role will also include attendance at some weekend fixtures.

Boarding opportunities may be available for female applicants.

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages – Spanish

Full time – Maternity Cover (likely to be one year)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and outstanding classroom practitioner, to join our growing MFL department as maternity cover. With a track record of excellent teaching and the ability to motivate and inspire, our desired candidate will support a high level of engagement from our students to produce exceptional linguists. A Spanish specialist is preferred, however the ability to teach both French and Spanish to A-Level is desirable.
