Jack Mahon is crowned the new British No3 at Junior Squash Championships

After three days of pulsating action at the National Squash Centre in Manchester, our top two players Jack Mahon and Louis Murray flew the Truro banner in fine style making a huge mark on the Nation’s very best players.

Louis Murray was unlucky to be pipped in his first match but bounced back in fine style winning all his remaining fixtures to finish a very creditable 17th place in this blue-ribbon event, including taking out the Scottish No2 on his way through the draw.

Jack Mahon has now become the highest ranked Cornwall Junior ever by making the actual semi final and only losing out to the No1 ranked player before winning the playoff for 3rd place. Had the draw been slightly kinder he could very well have made the Grand Final itself. He is on the cusp of England selection and hunting down the No2 spot next!

Congratulations to both boys on their exceptional efforts. Rest assured there is so much more to come!
