Headmaster’s Blog – Thursday 1 May 2014

Great first day at Beam House! The children have been really supportive of each other, throwing themselves into the activities (and not into the river!).

We arrived safely just before 1.00pm and, after a quick lunch, we were straight into the activities. These have included High Ropes, Archery, Trapeze and the Zip Wire – all great challenges and undertaken with great relish.

The children have had supper and are currently being shown around the centre and will then start their evening activity at about 7.15pm; Wacky Races??? Hopefully this will tire them out in preparation for their first night in the dormitories.

We’ll be celebrating Henry Hawkin’s birthday just before bedtime with a cake, courtesy of the centre and Mrs Hawkins and then, to bed!!

Everyone happy and having a great time.
