At last, Spring is here! If you have not seen our wonderful magnolia tree in full flower, please take a look when you’re next here; it is just stunning.

Under 11’s IAPS South West Regional Netball Tournament

Well done to the girls of our Under 11’s Netball team for achieving an overall 4th place at the IAPS South West Regional tournament at Millfield on Thursday. Comfortable winners of their section, winning 6 out of their 7 games this result means that for the second year in a row Truro Prep will be attending the IAPS National Finals at Roedean School near Brighton on Saturday March 14.

The players need to be congratulated for their skill and team play. They have worked very hard on their ball handling and court movement over the last few months and they are now capable of playing in any position on the court. Many of the other schools and coaches commented on their wonderful style of play.

Enterprise Club Fundraising

Thank you to everyone who purchased produce from the Enterprise Club stall yesterday in the school playground. The bread sold particularly well and it is clear that we are going to have to make more to meet the demand. We also sold out of the lemon curd and the marmalade. If you were disappointed, the stall will be in the playground again next Thursday with more bread, marmalade and lemon curd.

We have one apology to make – in their enthusiasm one of our sales team sold one of our sample jams, so if when you opened your jar of four fruit marmalade and it appeared to be a spoonful short, please let us know so that we can give you a full jar!

Music for Youth Festival

Finally, well done to the Chamber Choir for their enthusiastic participation in the Music for Youth Festival in Truro today. They performed really well and we await to hear the outcome from the adjudicators.
