Gold Award in the British Physics Olympiad for Olessia

Congratulations to Upper Sixth Student, Olesia, who has achieved an esteemed Gold Award in the British Physics Olympiad

The British Physics Olympiad is a well-regarded competition which aims to encourage the study of physics and recognise and celebrate the very best physicists in the country. In the competition, Olesia achieved a Gold Award which placed her in the top 100 students in the country; she was also awarded a book `Storm in a Teacup` by Helen Czerski.

Olessia has received an offer from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge to do Natural Science next year. Read more about her Cambridge offer here.

Two other students James Fawcett and James Arthur also entered the BPhO competition and received Silver and Bronze medals respectively and should be congratulated on their efforts.
