Girls’ Hockey Summary – Week Beginning 11 November 2013

U13 Girls Bryanston Tournament

The journey was long, the opposition tough, and the ‘onesies’ disappointing. However, the U13 Girls had a thoroughly enjoyable time. They made huge improvements in their play, and had the luck gone with them in a few of the games could well have returned winners of their division.

U18 Girls West Regional Tournament

The team battled hard against some renowned hockey schools, but their efforts alone were not enough for them to progress from the group stages. Despite this disappointment, the girls remained positive, focused and committed to both the ‘game plan’ and, more importantly, each other, which will be an enduring memory for the coach of this squad.

U14 Girls Hockey

The U14 Girls Hockey team will travel to Millfield next week as county champions. They progressed from the pool stage of the tournament undefeated, scoring 20 goals and conceding none. They then held their nerve to win a tense final against Bude on penalties.
