Eight fixtures were played on Wednesday despite the rain we have had over the last few weeks. Our block fixture against Penair saw some mixed results.
Under 12 A: The team showed a lot of promise as this was their first game together. Two late goals from Penair saw them win 6-4.
Under 12 B: They too played good football. After going 2.0 down they fought back to narrowly lose 4-3.
Under 13: In a very competitive game Truro narrowly lost 3-1.
Under 14: This became a County Cup game after being drawn against Penair. A strong Penair outfit were able to score a little too easily, resulting in a 6-2 defeat.
Under 15: The Under 15s also drew Penair in the cup. A closely fought game, which Truro managed to create the best chances but couldn’t find the winning goal until 2 minutes from full time. Great play from Callum and Phillip set up the opportunity for Charlie to slot the winning goal for a 1-0 win.
Under 16: Truro took the lead in the first half. Penair equalised in the 2 minute of the 2nd half. The match continued to create chances but it finished 1-1.
2nd XI: The 2nd XI travelled to Newqauy Tretherras and also played out a 1-1 draw.
1st XI: The first game this term took our 1st XI up to Truro College. A game that was played in excellent spirit saw us create the better chances. However, it took until midway through the 2nd half before Francis Lowry to convert one of the chances. Some late pressure from Truro College couldn’t break through for the equaliser.
Well done to all the boys who participated.
