Football Summary – Week Beginning 3 March 2014

The 1st XI travelled to Bude with a depleted team due to A level resits being a priority. Nevertheless, the boys played well and should have got a result. Unfortunately, after conceding an early penalty Truro could not find an equaliser despite numerous opportunities.

The 1stand 2nd XI played Truro College development team and their 4th team. A disciplined 1st XI performance saw them triumph 1:0 with Toby getting the decisive goal. The 2nd XI also had an impressive win by winning 3:0. Christian and Baba with the goals.

Our block fixture against Redruth produced some excellent football. The U12s lost 5:1 and the U16s lost 2:1. However there were wins for the U13s at 5:2, the U14s at 3:1 and the U15s at 2:1.

The 1st XI had another long journey; this time to Callington College on Friday in a league and cup double header. At the end of full-time, Truro had once again proved very difficult to beat and drew the game 0:0. Due to it being a cup game we entered into extra-time. Still no goals set up a penalty shoot-out. Unfortunately two misses to one in favour of Callington saw them progress to the next round.
