The weather has caused havoc over the last fortnight but we have managed to play some football.
Our block fixture against Newquay Tretherras produced the following results:
Under 12 A: Truro played some excellent football but failed to capitalise on chances created. The game was finally drawn 1.1
Under 12 B: The B team did take their chances and won 4.3.
Under 14: The Under 14s played some excellent football and ran out comfortable 10.2 winners
2nd XI: This game was played at Cornwall College Camborne. A very good Cornwall College team won 4.1
1st XI. The 1st XI travelled to Newquay Tretherras for a league fixture. This was a great advert for school football with both teams trying to play the game in the right manner. An early Tretherras goal proved to be the winner. Truro played some excellent football but failed to clinical in the final third.
On Saturday 30 January we played Millfield in a block fixture. 100 boys participated for Truro both at home and at Millfield.
Whilst there were some heavy defeats for the 3rd, 4th years and two senior teams there were also some outstanding results. The U16 A + B teams fought out 1.1 draws. However the performance of the day goes to the 1st XI who beat Millfield 1st XI 3.2 with goals from Curtis Pay x 2 and the winner from Gus Angilley. All the boys were a complete credit to the school.
