Football Summary – Week Beginning 17 March

On Monday, the 2nd XI played the 1st XI in a league fixture. It was another competitive game in which the 2nd XI started the brighter. A goal from Baba Braithwaite after 15 minutes gave the 2nd XI a deserved lead. The 2nd half saw the 1st XI attack for the whole half. Chances were created time after time but Chris Lin in goal was equal to it. The 2nd XI celebrated at the final whistle with a famous win.

Our U13s played Mullion in the Quarter Final of the County Cup. After dominating the first half, Truro only had a one goal advantage to show for their possession. The second half continued the same way but better finishing saw a 5-0 win and a Semi-Final to look forward to.

On Wednesday we played five games. Our block fixture against Pool saw us win all four of the games. The U12s won 9-0, with Elliot and Harley both scoring hat-tricks. The U13s won 6-0, U14s 11-0 and the U16s 1-0. A combined U12/13B team also won 4-1 at Polwhele.
