What the Dickens? At the Burrell Theatre

This Friday 24 October at 7.30pm, Gonzo Moose present What the Dickens? at the Burrell Theatre, Truro.

“Young Charles Dickens is a rookie reporter on The Morning Chronicle. Whilst investigating the foggy slums of Ye Olde London Towne, he accidently stumbles on a story that could make his reputation. Follow our hero on the adventure of a lifetime. Expect a world of pockmarked pickpockets, cobwebby convicts, teeming slums, empty marshes, dark secrets, convoluted plots and lots and lots of fog.”

This inventive and gripping comedy features just three actors playing over 20 roles in 90 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action. Brimming with unfeasibly quick costume changes, stupidly surreal characters and wonderfully daft jokes, What the Dickens? has something to entertain the whole family.

Since exploding onto the scene in 2000, Gonzo Moose has become renowned for its accessible brand of stage comedy which combines improvisation, music, physical theatre and clowning. Their previous shows for Carn to Cove include I’m an Aristocrat, Get Me Out Of Here, Grimm and Grimmer and Is That a Bolt In Your Neck?
