Friday 20 April

1st XI v Plymouth College

Plymouth won the toss and took advantage of some loose bowling and scored heavily throughout their innings. In reply and with runs on the board Plymouth set a strong defensive field that Truro had to penetrate to get close to the 1st innings score. On the day Truro did not have the fire power to respond, however there were some good individual performances.
Plymouth 185-0
TS 79-6 off 20 overs. M Ellis 50 not out.

 

Monday 23 April

1st XI v Truro College

In a very entertaining game School set college a fair target after electing to bat first. In reply Truro College were slightly behind the run rate until scoring well in the 15 over. That said school bowled and fielded really well. The college team won the game with 5 balls remaining.

Wednesday 25 April

1st XI v MCC

The MCC displayed their class with a very strong side that included two current County players and a wealth of experience in the remainder of the squad. Some of the MCC players travelled from London to participate in the fixture.

TS 92 all out. C Standon 24, M Ellis 18

The MCC awarded C Standon the ‘MCC spirit of cricket’ award for his contribution to the game with bat and ball.
