Last Friday our Junior and Senior Wind Bands joined the City of Truro Male Choir in the Combined Concert at St Piran’s Church.
With direction from Alan Pope and John Greaves and a standing ovation for their performances, the Wind Bands played a variety of styles to the usual brilliant high standard. For the final item, both bands and the Choir joined together in a tumultuous rendition of Trelawny. The ages from the bottom of the Truro School bands to the top of the Choir ranged from 11-80.
Headmaster Andrew Gordon-Brown said: “The ingredients were just right for a joyful evening. It’s a rather amazing experience to witness our young musicians in such great number sharing their talents.”
