Cathy Schofield Visits the Psychology Department

Last week, Cathy Schofield, course director for HND Applied Psychology & BA Human Behavioural Sciences course at Truro College, visited Truro School with some of her HND Applied Psychology students.

They carried out research and discussed research techniques with our Lower Sixth Psychology students. They took part in a study to investigate if our perception of someone’s intelligence is linked to our perception of their physical attractiveness and discussed stereotyping, such as ‘the dumb blonde.’ We also looked at differences in Short and Long Term Memory when listening to advice.
