Pentreve Blog – Sunday 16th June
It’s been an extremely busy week for everyone with school exams taking place. The girls have handled all the revision extremely well although there have been some early nights after days with three exams. This weekend the girls have been having some well-earned rest and there are just a couple of exams left tomorrow morning for Olivia who had a tennis match last week! It was good to have Lily back with us for the week last week and tomorrow both Rose and Mckayla, who have both boarded many times, will be with us once again.
On Friday evening we went into town after supper for a well-deserved ice cream and as it was finally nice weather after torrential rain during most of the week, we sat on the cathedral green to eat them. Then on Saturday evening the boys from Poltisco came over and everyone sat in the common room watching a film and eating pizzas, garlic bread and ice creams.
Today the girls have been to Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth with the senior girls. The weather was perhaps a little unkind, but the girls enjoyed the famous (in Cornwall) beach café!
Next week everyone will receive their exam results and we will be gearing up for the sponsored run in aid of the Children’s Hospice South-West.
