Junior Boys' Boarding Update: 22 May 2017

Boys' Boarding at Truro School, Cornwall, UK.

On Friday night, many of the boys went out to do various sporting activities including Nick who travelled to the Girls’ High School to train with the County Hockey Team. Well done to Harry for completing his Duke of Edinburgh weekend expedition near Padstow last weekend. Saturday was spent with free time – with end of year exams approaching, this meant working for a few of the boys, and others went into town to see friends or used the school gym and pool facilities.

A reduced number of boys in the boarding house this weekend meant plenty of pizza for those who remained on Saturday night. Many of us stayed in the common room to watch Oceans 11 on the TV. Alex G was trying his hardest not to give away the plot twist before it came in the film.

On Sunday, the boys took a trip to Perranporth for the second surfing trip of the year. A particular well done to Alex A for plucking up courage to get in the water and having a go.  Many of the other boys didn’t fancy the Cornish sea and opted instead to walk into town or simply to enjoy the sun on the beach.

I’m hoping next time I can get in with them.

Until then,

Mr Thomson,

Poltisco House Assistant
