Truro School entered their first beach volleyball tournament on Wednesday, joining the Cornwall School Beach Games event which was held at Carbis Bay beach. Truro entered 7 teams across the competition, with 30 pupils signing up to represent the school. Many of our pupils played volleyball for the first time ever and the progression from their first game to last was extraordinary. The competition was split across two age group, KS3 and KS4. Truro School entered 4 girls teams, evenly split across the age groups and 3 boys teams, with 2 at KS3 and 1 at KS4. In between fixtures, the pupils played Frisbee and Vortex games along the beach are were impeccably behaved across the entire day, both off court and on. I would like to say a big congratulations and well done to all involved for your great efforts and for trying a new sport. A special mention goes to the KS4 Truro 2 girls team who made the playoffs but were narrowly defeated by Mounts Bay. The team consisted of; Lily, Eloise, Marlee and Isla. Well done girls!
