The 5th Year GCSE Art students recently went on a two-day field trip to London.
The trip involved an array of exciting opportunities that will contribute to their GCSE coursework. The pupils had the chance to visit the National Gallery, Tate Britain and the Saatchi Gallery, which currently has a thought-provoking exhibition entitled ‘Art Riot: Post Soviet Actionism’.
They also had the exciting chance to experience the West end production of Mamma Mia.
The students also took the opportunity of being in London to visit China Town and explore Covent Garden.
Head of Art, Mr Meads, commented on how the trip was,
“A wonderful chance for the pupils to see a wide range of art and help enrich their knowledge and coursework unit. To experience a West End show is a real treat and I hope something they will remember in the future.
