Junior Hockey Training Camps
Warm congratulations have been given to Molly Browne, Milly Frankis and Daisy MacDonald in the last few weeks as they have all been selected to train in the Under 15 Junior Regional Performance Centre for hockey.
The trio will now get to train at state-of-the-art facilities on the Exeter University campus with six intensive days of hockey practice spread out from June to September.
If they impress at the training camp, the girls can be selected for the Tier 1 competitions in September.
Senior Hockey Training Camps
In more good news, the following senior pupils have also been selected for the Regional Performance Centres:
Under 16 boys – Bertie Holdsworth
Under 16 girls – Amelia Heather
Under 17 girls – Amy Ellis, Beth Rutter and Matilda Shields
Under 17 boys – Ted Hatcher, Sam Haywood and Will Rowe
Under 18 girls – Billie Wood
Similar to Molly, Milly and Daisy, the senior hockey players will all have a series of training sessions over the coming months, hoping to gain selection for national and regional tournaments later on in the year.
PE Teacher, Ms Newton, said:
‘We are incredibly proud of all the students in reaching this stage and wish them every success in their progression up the performance pathway.’
