Under 13 Cricket Team Power to Successive County Cup Finals

The Under 13 cricket team played at Penair on Thursday 22 June in the County Cup semi final and comfortably won to earn a final appearance against Wadebridge School, hoping to retain the cup they won last year against the same opponents.

Penair were put into bat and in the opening over, Ben Bebb took the valuable wicket of the talented county player Joe Phillips. Fine bowling by Bebb, Sammy Whitelegg, Toby French, George Purchas and Ben Coston proved too much for the Penair side, reducing them to 38 all out in 12 overs. In reply, Truro had no trouble passing the Penair total for the loss of just one wicket in 7 overs.
