U13 Girls Inter Schools Hockey Cup Round 1 vs Plymouth

Friday 14th October

The game started out with end to end hockey, both teams were making it a passing game when they got hold of the ball which made it hard for the opposition to win the ball. We played some fantastic hockey in the first half, transferring the ball around the back as well as from left to right and right to left, however we struggled to get in the ‘D’ and have any shots. When we finally did get hungry to get into the ‘D’ our shots weren’t that effective, which is something to take away from the game to work on in training. However with a great team atmosphere and a step up in gear the girls had 5 minutes to go, Plymouth also raised their game which meant we had to take one final gear change-up which we did. A well worked team effort, got us the goal we needed to win the game. With only 2 minutes on the clock to go, Truro held there positioning well and maintained possession of the ball in order to ensure it was a win.

Well Done girls and that now takes us into the next round of the cup.

Score: 1-0 Truro
