Truro Schools Society

The purpose of the society is to bring together parents and staff at the schools.  It is run by a committee composed of parent representatives, the Headmasters, school staff, a Governor and a member of the Former Pupils Association.

 

With children at Truro School and Truro School Prep. parents are automatically members of the Society.  A small annual subscription is added to the Spring Term school bill: £15 per annum for Family Membership, charged to the eldest sibling.

 

The Society runs a variety of fund-raising social events throughout the year, starting with a New Parents and Pupils day in September.

TSS Beetle Drive

TSS would like to invite you to a Beetle Drive

on Friday 5th February

 

This will be held in the Dining Room at Truro School from 7-10pm, and coincides with the Junior Disco to enable parents to drop off and pick up their dancing children, while enjoying a fast and fun game of 'Beetle' and a warming Hearty soup and Ploughmans supper.

 

Please return the form below to the School Office marked 'Beetle' and cash or cheque (payable to TSS please) asap and in any case by Tuesday 2nd Feb.

TSS Spring Ball

Saturday 20th March 2010

7.00 for 7.30pm at Truro School

 

A warm invitation to all Parents, Staff and Friends of Truro School and Truro Prep School to the 2010 Spring Ball.

This year the Ball is raising funds to support Max Levene.

 

As you will know, Max sustained the most serious of injuries to his spinal cord last October, and will require a great deal of both short and long term help. TSS, like the whole School Community, wishes to do anything we can to assist, and we hope to raise a large sum of money through this event. Out of the ticket price of £40 per head, AT LEAST £10 per ticket will go to the fundraising, and money will also be raised through Bar Sales and a Fantastic Raffle.

 

The evening will start with a Buck’s Fizz Reception, and includes a delicious Buffet meal designed and prepared by the Head Chef and his team, followed by Dancing till Midnight in a decorated marquee that transforms the Sports Hall into a spectacular venue for a congenial evening.
